The Arjun Gufa
The Arjun Gufa or Arjun Cave is situated just 5 km from Manali, near the tiny village of Prirni. According to legend, this is the place where Arjuna prayed to lord Indra to get the Pashupata Astra. The amazing natural beauty and the quietness of the place is another major attraction.
Hadimba Temple
The Hadimba temple is an most prominent tourist attractions in Manali. This temple was dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, the temple has a pagoda shaped roof. The doorway is adorned with carvings of legendary figures and symbols.
Manali Sanctuary
Manali sanctuary is located at a distance of 2km from the down town Manali, the wildlife sanctuary was first notified in the year 1954 and is home to a variety of Himalayan flora and fauna with animal species like lion, snow leopard, ibex etc.
Rohtang pass
Rohtang pass is also one of the important tourist attractions in Manali. It situated at an altitude of about 4,111 m and 50 km from Manali is one of the main attractions of the area. The pass which is the only access to the Lahaul Valley generally remains open from June to November each year while during the rest of the year heavy snowfall in the area makes it inaccessible. The Sonapani Glacier and the twin peaks of Gaypan present a beautiful sight.
Tibetan Monastery
The Tibetan Monastery in Manali is an important place to visit, especially if you are planning to take home some wonderful Tibetan handicrafts. This small monastery houses an image of Lord Buddha and some exquisite tankhas.
The Club House
The Club House in Manali is a beautiful modern building, located 1.5 km from bus stand, just at the foothill of the old Manali village.
