The Ridge
The Ridge is an open space in the heart of town and it offers outstanding views of the distant mountain ranges. The two prominent landmarks of Shimla, the Neo-Gothic structure of Christ Church and the new Tudor Library building are the other attractions located here.
The fagu
The fagu is situated at 6 km from Kufri, it is a place of great natural wealth, with its woods, ferns, and apple orchards. At 2510 m Fagu has some enchanting views. Lovely Fagu surrounded by apple orchards.
Jakhu Temple
Jakhu temple is dedicated to lord Hanumanji, which Is situate at the height of above 8500 feet. In the east of historical ridge ground in Shimla city. This temple is very easily approachable and is one of the most sought after site to be visited not only by the devotees and pilgrims but also by the tourists of all age groups visiting Shimla
Scandal point
Scandal point is the State Museum of Shimla. It was built in the year 1974; it has a good collection of statues, miniatures, coins and photos from in and around Himachal Pradesh. A statue of the national leader Lala Lajpat Rai has been erected here.
The mall
The mall is a main shopping centre of Shimla with restaurants. This is especially pleasant in the evenings when the views and lights are wonderful. The Gaiety Theatre, which is a reproduction of an old British theatre, is a center of cultural activities.
Viceregal Lodge
Viceregal lodge is a Magnificent English renaissance structure is with its spacious lawn and wooded groves are India's premier institute of higher studies. A portion of the interior is also open to the public, except on Sundays and holidays.
Chadwick Falls
Chadwick falls is one of the beautiful tourist attractions of shimla .. It is just 7 km from Shimla. This is located at 45 minutes walk away from the Summer Hills of Shimla. It was sheltered by dense woods; the cascade falls in its glorious splendor, from an awesome altitude of 1586 meters. The best time to visit the falls is after the monsoons.
Summer hill
Summer hill is a scenic spot located near Shimla at an altitude of 1,283 meters and is much visited by the tourists. The legendary Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi during his sojourn in Shimla spent some time in the elegant Georgian House of Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur located here.
Chindi
A beautiful place in Karsog Valley. Himachal tourism's tourist Resort is opening shortly. One can also visit famous mahunag Temple (18 Km). Mamleshwar mahadev Temple (13 Km) Kamaksha Devi temple (19 Km) Pangna Killa/temple (8 Km) and Shikari Devi Temple (18 Km).
Chail Sanctuary
Chail is a hill station visited by many tourists. The Deodar and Oak forests with grasslands around the township are the abode of wildlife. One can see Sambar, Goral and Cheer Pheasants at Blossom and Jhaja. Visitors are welcome to the Cheer pheasant breeding centre at both these places. Barking deer and Kalijin in the forests are sure to meet and greet the visitors at dusk and dawn. Trekking from Chail to Gaura and Chail to Jhaja is common and rewarding as one is sure to see wildlife and beautiful snowy peaks.
