Tombs of the Bahmani Rulers
Ashtur, a place about 3 km away from Bidar has some of the tombs of the Bahmani rulers. These tombs boast of their impressive structures and beautiful tile works and mosaics. While one of the tombs has superb tile work and flaunt Persian frescos like in the tombs of Ahmad Shah I and his son Alauddin Shah I; the others have exquisite work in stone.
This is an ancient Gurudwara (a Sikh worship place) and demands a compulsory visit on Bidar tours.
The Madrassa is a theological college of Arabic and Islamic theological studies and dates back to the fifteenth century. A major portion of the college is now in ruins but the elegant faчade is still erect.
