Durga Temple
Durga Temple is considered one of the important temples in Varanasi. This temple is coloured in red with ochre. Though built by a Bengali, the temple has been built on the lines of north Indian Nagara style. The temple is situated on a rectangular tank, which is aptly called Durga Kund. The temple has multi-tiered spires with decreasing diameters. Separate spires are stacked together to give the present look of the shikhara or spire.
Ram Nagar fort
Ram Nagar fort is located on the opposite bank of the Ganges, about 14 km from Varanasi; this fort is the ancestral home of the Maharaja of Banaras. It is one of the important forts to visit at Varanasi. It was built during 17th century by the Maharaja of Banaras.
Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple
Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is one of the sacred temples of Hindu god Hanuman in the city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Tulsidas, the author of the famous Hindu epic Ramacharitamanasa, founded the Sankat Mochan temple. Every Tuesday and Saturday, thousands of people from different parts queue up in front of the temple to offer prayers to Lord Hanuman and attain his blessings.
Bharat Kala Bhavan museum
Bharat Kala Bhavan is a museum which displays India's heritage. It is a mine of knowledge which has preserved the past of our country. The Bharat Kala Bhavan museum was established in the year 1920 A.D. It is an art and architecture museum and houses a vast collection of paintings, Hindu and Buddhist sculptures and other materials of archeological importance.
Alamgir Mosque
Alamgir Mosque is located in Panch Ganga Ghat .The Ghat is a sacred site where the worshipers often take holy dips in the river Ganges. The mosque is built on the site of Vishnu temple. The mosque represents the fine blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture.
Vishwanath temple
Vishwanath temple is located within the premises of the Banaras Hindu University this temple built by the Birlas was planned by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. This temple is open to all people irrespective of caste or creed.
