The original idol of Lord Madan Gopal was shifted from the shrine to Karauli in Rajasthan for safe keeping, during Aurangzeb's rule. Today, a replica of the image is worshipped at the temple.
The Iskon temple of Vrindavan is latest constructed big temple. The marble buildings exude their own brilliance and a best example of modern architecture in India. If you want to see modern approach of Krishna Bhakti, must visit this temple and will get a new way of Prabhu Aradhna.
The beautiful Yamuna, India's most sacred river flows through the transcendental land of Brindavana. From Yamunotri, the Yamuna flows south until it reaches Delhi. It then flows to Braja Mandala through Vrindavana and Mathura. From there it goes through Agra and eventually merges with the Ganges and the underground Saraswati at Prayag.
Nidhivana is the place where Radha and Krishna are said to have taken rest after dancing and other conjugal affairs. There is a small temple here known as the 'sleeping temple', which has a bed, where Radha and Krishna are said to take rest in, after enjoying their pastimes here.
The Rangaji Temple is an admirable amalgamation of different architectural styles. The entrance gate of the temple makes one reminiscent of Rajput architecture, the gopuram is sure to bring to one's mind South Indian style of temple architecture whereas the colonnade has a distinct Italian touch. Consequently apart from those with a religious bent of mind the temple is also well worth a visit by those who are fond admirers of art and architecture. The temple beautifully coalesce different kinds of architecture.
